Dubai provides health insurance for tourists and visitors

   Emirate of Dubai has announced its intention to apply the comprehensive health insurance for visitors and tourists to be the first Arab city to offer this service so as to ensure the provision of better health care for each of visiting the city.

   According to the Health Authority that the ruler of Dubai, Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid passed the Health Insurance Act, which includes all Emiratis and expatriates and visitors to the emirate of various nationalities.

   The Director General of the Commission Essa Maidoor: "Starting next January, will begin introduction of health insurance in stages so as to ensure the safety of the health of each resident in or visiting the emirate, including junior staff and construction workers, and workers cleaning services and public services."

   And live on the land of Dubai residents belonging to 209 nationalities and the emirate receives millions of tourists annually and expects Studies rising number of tourists to 15 million tourists annually by 2015.

   And submitted a bid to host the emirate's exhibition "World Expo" in 2020, which is the third largest event in the world and expect to win the case in the event that the host receives 25 million visitors and tourists during the period of the exhibition, which extends to six months.

   He explained Maidour that more than a million people on the ground in Dubai have health insurance now, but with the application of the law will become all the inhabitants of the emirate and every person visiting believer healthy.

   He continued: "If exposure tourist or visitor to any emergency disease or accident will receive a medical service is high in government and private hospitals without having to bear the cost of even higher financial returns to his country safe."

   He pointed out that Dubai is on the verge of a major breakthrough in excellent health projects, where government hospitals are being established, and especially the latest huge level of global medical standards that provide the best care for all patients.

   He said that comprehensive health insurance with a major health projects under construction in the emirate "will contribute to the promotion of medical tourism by increasing their rates dramatically in the emirate."
